Grow project 2008
- Description:
Framing and providing means to start the growing of rabbits, chickens and goats.
- Objective:
Improving the life quality, offering a social activity and providing a financial income.
- Initiators:
Julienne Mukarukaka and Benedicte Mukanyangezi.
- Location:
Dry and strongly erosion damaged region - mountains in the south west of Rwanda, in the border area with Congo.
- Beneficiaries:
Persons with HIV, with Aids virus contaminated young women and their children.
- Provided duration: extendible after a calendar year.
- Start date: October 2008.
- Costs: 370.000,- RwFr. i.e. € 500.

FOLLOW UP & EVALUATION
Raising project : march 2009
The breeding of chickens and rabbits was entrusted to children, between 5 and 14 years, infected with AIDS. The intention is to give children an activity and responsibility.
Concerning the raising of goats : the construction of the buildings is underway. We hope to finish the work by the end of March. We will send you the evolution of the project and we hope to bring everything to a good end (despite the low rate).
